Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins unveils the DC film’s first teaser poster- revealing Diana’s new costume. Gal Gadot made her debut as Diana Prince in the DC film franchise for Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, returning the following year in her solo movie, Wonder Woman. The World War I-set prequel followed Diana’s childhood and evolution into a superhero, further setting up her appearance in Justice League, where she suited up alongside modern-day heroes. However, we’ll next see Diana in another prequel to the modern continuity, in Jenkin’s Wonder Woman 1984.
Wonder Woman 1984 will operate as a direct sequel to Wonder Woman, but taking place later in the character’s own timeline. Excitement for the Wonder Woman sequel has been high since it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, but with 1984 delayed until June 2020 and Warner Bros, sitting out Hall H at SDCC this year, fans won’t get their first look at footage of the movie for some time. Now, after Wonder Woman 1984 poster art was unveiled for the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, Jenkins took the time to share an official poster for the upcoming sequel.
Jenkins revealed the first Wonder Woman 1984 teaser poster, featuring Gadot suited up as Diana Prince, this time donning a new costume than the one she wore in Wonder Woman. Further, the one sheet draws on the 80s inspiration of 1984 with some super psychedelic colors.
