इस फिल्म के अलावा आशुतोष जल्द ही चिकन करी में एक वकील की भूमिका में नजर आएंगे। ऋतिक-टाइगर स्टारर वॉर में आशुतोष विलन के अलावा वे एक वेब शो में वे मुगल शासक औरंगजेब के किरदार में भी दिखाई देंगे। वेब शो के बारे में आशुतोष ने कहा कि, अभिनेता के तौर पर कहूं तो मुझे कोई अंतर समझ नहीं आता। अभिनय प्रेम की तरह है, इसमें सात्विक भाव नहीं होगा तो दर्शकों के दिल को नहीं छुएगा, चाहे रंगमंच हो या सिनेमा। लेकिन तकनीकी के हिसाब से बात करूं तो यह माध्यमों का विस्तार है।
आशुतोष राणा ने हिंदी सिनेमा में साल 1995 में डेब्यू किया था। उनको हिंदी सिनेमा में पहचान काजोल स्टारर फिल्म दुश्मन से मिली। इस फिल्म में राणा ने सा’इको कि’लर की भूमिका अदा की थी। इन्होने दक्षिण की फिल्मों में भी अभिनय किया है, वह दक्षिण में जीवा के नाम से विख्यात हैं।
आशुतोष ने अपने करियर की शुरुआत छोटे पर्दे से की थी। उन्होंने छोटे पर्दे पर काफी हिट शोज़ किये।
