Based on a novel by Anuja Chauhan of the same, the story of Zoya Factor, a rom-com supposedly revolves around the life of Zoya Singh Solanki (played by Sonam Kapoor), an advertising agent, who is considered to be lucky charm for the Indian cricket team and her love-hate relationship with the captain of team India, Nikhil Khoda (played by Dulqer Salmaan).
South Indian actor Dulquer Salmaan’s Bollywood film with Sonam Kapoor has been creating quite a buzz lately. And on Tuesday, the actor released the poster of the film, The Zoya Factor, on his Instagram account.
The poster shows Dulquer and Sonam holding and peeking out from behind the eponymous novel by Anuja Chauhan, on which the film is based.
The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma and bankrolled by Fox Star Studios. The screenplay has been penned by Neha Rakesh Sharma, and the dialogues are written by Pradhuman Singh.
The much-awaited film is slated for release on April 5, 2019, said Sonam Kapoor while sharing the poster on Twitter.
The story of film, Zoya Singh Solanki, an advertising executive, who ends up being the ‘lucky charm’ for the Indian cricket team.
While Zoya’s role will be essayed by Sonam, Dulquer will be seen in the character of Nikhil Khoda, the skipper of the Indian cricket team, who is sceptical about the hype surrounding Zoya and according to the novel, does not believe in luck.
This is Dulquer’s second Bollywood project. He made his debut with Ronnie Screwala’s Karwan, which is yet to release. It also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar.
Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor is all set to share the screen space for the first time with her niece Sonam Kapoor Ahuja in Dulquer Salmaan starrer The Zoya Factor. The film went on the floors today and Sanjay is playing Sonam’s father in the film.
The story is about a girl, who is suddenly looked at as a lucky mascot by the Indian Cricket team as she was born on the same day India won the 1983 World Cup. but the newly appointed skipper Nikhil Khoda is not too amused with her.. While both are at loggerheads, there is an undeniable chemistry the two share. All in all it’s fun romantic ride with cricket involved. A few changes have been made to film’s script.

सोनम कपूर ने अपने इंस्टाग्राम पर इस फिल्म से जुड़ा फर्स्ट लुक शेयर किया है. इस पोस्टर में सलमान और सोनम एक किताब के पीछे छिपे हैं. फोटो शेयर करते हुए सोनम ने लिखा है कि, ‘अनुजा चौहान की बेस्ट सेलिंग नॉवेल ‘द जोया फैक्टर’ की यूनीक कहानी का हिस्सा बनने के लिए मैं खासी उत्साहित हूं.’ ये फिल्म एक ऐसी लड़की की कहानी को बयां करता है जो एक एड एजेंसी में काम करती है और अचानक उसे इंडियन क्रिकेट टीम के साथ काम करने का मौका मिल जाता है और सबको ये लगने लगता है कि वो टीम के लिए लकी है. क्योंकि उसकी मौजूदगी में टीम वर्ल्ड कप जीत जाती है,और यहां शुरुआत में हीरो के साथ तकरार के बाद दोनों में प्यार हो जाता है।
बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस सोनम कपूर ने अपनी अपकमिंग फिल्म ‘द जोया फैक्टर’ की तैयारियां शुरू कर दी है. सोनम अपनी नई फिल्म के लिए मेकओवर करी रहीं हैं, उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया पर अपनी तस्वीर पोस्ट करते हुए बतया कि वो अपने स्ट्रेट बालों को कर्ली करा रही हैं.
दलकेर सलमान मलयालम फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के बड़े सितारे हैं, और मम्मुटी के बेटे हैं. उन्होंने ‘बेंगलूरू डेज’, ‘ओ कधाल कनिमणि’ और ‘कमातिपादम’ जैसी सुपरहिट फिल्मों में नजर आ चुके हैं.
ऐड की शूटिंग के सिलसिले में ज़ोया को क्रिकेट टीम के साथ रुकना पड़ जाता है. इसी दौरान कप्तान को छोड़कर पूरी टीम को अहसास होता है कि ज़ोया जिस दिन उनके साथ नाश्ता करती है, उस दिन वो मैच जीत जाते हैं. इसके बाद एक राज़ खुलता है कि ज़ोया ठीक उसी दिन पैदा हुई थी, जिस दिन 1983 में इंडिया ने अपना पहला वर्ल्ड कप जीता था. इसके बाद ज़ोया को अपने साथ रोककर इंडिया वर्ल्ड कप जीत जाती है. लेकिन दिक्कत ये होती है कि ज़ोया निखिल के प्यार में पड़ जाती है. निखिल अंधविश्वास में डूबी अपनी टीम से उलट इन चीज़ों में बिलकुल नहीं मानता. इसके बाद की कहानी इनकी लव स्टोरी और क्रिकेट सर्किट में ज़ोया की भारी डिमांड से आगे बढ़ती है.
‘दी ज़ोया फैक्टर’ लिखने का आइडिया अनुजा को वहीं से आया. लेकिन सवाल ये था कि बैकड्रॉप क्रिकेट का क्यों? ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि अनुजा खुद भी पेप्सी के लिए दिल्ली में 13 साल काम कर चुकी हैं. ऐसे में क्रिकेट ऐडवरटाइज़िंग के दौरान उन्हें कई खिलाड़ियों से मिलने और उन्हें जानने का मौका मिलता था. इसलिए उन्होंने अपने पहले नॉवल को क्रिकेट के इर्द-गिर्द बुनना चुना. और क्रिकेट बिकता भी खूब है.
