“No one wins the battle, whether the soldier is on our side or the other side, always the family of the young man suffers loss. “Bunkers” highlight the anguish of military life. Mental health of the Indian armed forces is one of the least discussed topics in our country. Touching India’s first anti-war film and highlighting the mental health of a soldier, Bunker prepares viewers to learn not only about the war, but also the war that we are not even aware of. As a tribute to our military, the filmmakers today announced “100% contribution in profits to the Veer and Army Wives Welfare Association of India (AWA)”. The film ‘Bunker’ presented by Wagging Tale will be released in theaters on 14 January 2020.
Another feature of the film is that 95 percent of its filming is shot in a 12-foot by 8-foot bunker in 5 days. The bunker symbolizes the honor of an army, which is always entangled in double duty towards the country and the family. In the film, Lieutenant Vikram Singh is seriously injured and is hiding in a secret bunker near the Line of Control in the tail region of Kashmir. The Gupta bunker suffered fatal injuries along the Line of Control in Poonch, Kashmir. The film shows mental health, relationships between soldiers’ families, and what the relationships are between soldiers and their families due to border tension. It has been widely appreciated at various film festivals.
Abhijeet Singh, who played the lead role of Lieutenant Vikram Singh in the film, said, “Bunker is a film that is a biography of every soldier whose name you will never hear in life. This is the story of all those who reach a climax. Vikram Singh is a normal man who has an extremely difficult responsibility. He is not a superhero, he is a man who stands immediately behind a superhero. This could have been the story of any supporting character, which you would have seen in films made on the army so far. The human elements in it were very real and true. “He adds,” We spent most of our time sitting in a closed area with no ventilation, which made me claustrophobic. “
Presented by Wagging Tale Entertainment, produced by Falcon Pictures Production and written and directed by Waqavu Bunker – Jugal Raja, produced by Gaurav Gupta, starring Abhijeet Singh and Arindita Kalita, will release on 14 January 2020.
