इस फिल्म को बनाने के लिए विवेक अग्निहोत्री करीब एक साल से रीसर्च कर रहे है विवेक अग्निहोत्री ने इस से पहले साल 2016 में आई फिल्म जुनूनियत का डायरेक्शन किया था बॉलीवुड रोमांटिक ड्रामा फिल्म थी और इस फिल्म ने रिलीज होने पर 4 करोड़ का बॉक्स ऑफिस कलेक्शन किया था इसके अलावा विवेक अग्निहोत्री ने चोकलेट , हेट स्टोरी , धन धना धन गोल , जिद जेसी फिल्मो का भी डायरेक्शन किया है फिल्म द ताशकंद फाइल्स को प्रोडूस प्रणय चोकसी , हर्ष पटेल और विवेक अग्निहोत्री ने किया है अभी इस फिल्म की रिलीज डेट का खुलासा नहीं किया गया है लेकिन इसका पहला पस्टर सोशल मीडिया पर रिलीज किया जा चूका है
