The makers of Takht have finally released a teaser of the period drama.
The short clip begins on an intriguing note with a royal throne in view. A voiceover says the pathway to the Mughal sultanate was through the destruction of their own people. It is then that Ranveer Singh’s voice comes in and says had the pathway been drawn from love, the destiny of the Mughals in India would have been completely different.
Takht, also featuring Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, and Janhvi Kapoor, is directed by Karan Johar. The film is scheduled to release on 24 December next year.
The screenplay has been written by Sumit Roy, while Hussain Haidry, popular poet-writer, has co-written the dialogues with him.
Earlier, Johar, the director-producer of the feature, also launched the logo of the film, along with the first poster. He also revealed the film has its roots in the Mughal empire, and revolves around “an epic battle for the Majestic Mughal throne”. Like most Dharma Productions, the film is touted to be a dramatic story about family, love, succession, and how ambition and greed change the dynamics of relationships.

बॉलीवुड एक्टर रणवीर सिंह ने करण जौहर के निर्देशन में बन रही बहुप्रतीक्षित फिल्म तख्त का पहला टीजर वीडियो शेयर कर दिया है. वीडियो में सुनहरा राजसी तख्त दिखाया गया है और बैकग्राउंड में विक्की कौशल के साथ रणवीर सिंह का वॉयस ओवर है. विक्की कौशल कहते हैं, “मुगल शहजादों के लिए तख्त का रास्ता अपनों के ताबूत से होकर जाता था.”
इसके बाद रणवीर सिंह का वॉयस ओवर आता है और वो कहते हैं, “अगर ये रास्ता मोहब्बत से होकर जाता… तो शायद हिंदुस्तान का इतिहास कुछ और होता.” फिल्म का टीजर वीडियो काफी छोटा है लेकिन कहा जा सकता है कि काफी दमदार है. वीडियो को शेयर करते हुए रणवीर सिंह ने कैप्शन में लिखा, “पेश करते हैं तख्त जिसका निर्देशन कर रहे हैं करण जौहर. निर्माता हैं हीरू यश जौहर, करण जौहर और अपूर्व मेहता.”
भारी भरकम बजट वाली इस मल्टीस्टारर फिल्म में रणवीर सिंह, करीना कपूर खान, आलिया भट्ट, विक्की कौशल, भूमि पेडनेकर, जाह्नवी कपूर और अनिल कपूर जैसी लंबी चौड़ी स्टार कास्ट नजर आएगी. ये फिल्म अगले साल 24 दिसंबर को रिलीज होगी.
बॉलीवुड के दिग्गज फिल्म निर्माता करण जौहर काफी लंबे वक्त बाद निर्देशन के क्षेत्र में कदम रखने जा रहे हैं. धर्मा प्रोडक्शन के मालिक करण जौहर ने पिछली बार फिल्म ऐ दिल है मुश्किल का निर्देशन किया था. ये फिल्म 2016 में रिलीज हुई थी. इसके बाद करण ने सिर्फ लस्ट स्टोरीज में बतौर निर्देशक काम किया था लेकिन उन्होंने फिल्म के एक छोटे हिस्से का ही डायरेक्शन किया था. करण लंबे वक्त बाद एक पूरी फिल्म का निर्देशन करेंगे.
