Sisters Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor have a separate fanbase for their pair and people love them together. What if we tell you that we might see the two together in a film together and it is none other than the sequel to Karisma’s acclaimed film Zubeidaa? Yes, you read that right, scroll below for deets.
It was recently that we saw Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan together setting the stage on fire in cousin Arman Jain’s wedding reception. If things fall in place, the sisters might spread their magic on screen in Zubeidaa 2.
Khalid Mohammed, writer of the prequel is right now working on the sequel of the film and has titled it Rutbaa. According to the report in Pinkvilla, the writer wants Karisma and Kareena to play leads.
A source close to the development said, “Khalid had written the script of Rutbaa (The Honour) keeping Karisma and Kareena in mind. The sequel will make Karisma appear only in flashbacks as the main character would be Kareena who would be investigating her mother’s mysterious death. But as he’s very busy writing the script for his next project – the sequel to New Delhi Times, Khalid hasn’t been getting much chance to make that movie, so he is converting the research material into a novel, called The Imperfect Prince.”

बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री करिश्मा कपूर और करीना कपूर ‘जुबैदा’ के सीक्वल में काम करती नजर आ सकती हैं। वर्ष 2001 में प्रदर्शित श्याम बेनेगल के निर्देशन में बनी फिल्म ‘जुबैदा’ की स्क्रिप्ट खालिद मोहम्मद ने लिखी थी। इसमें करिश्मा कपूर, रेखा, मनोज वाजपेयी लीड रोल में थे। फिल्म में करिश्मा ने जुबैदा बेगम का रोल निभाया था।
इस फिल्म के राइटर खालिद मोहम्मद फिल्म ‘जुबैदा’ के सीक्वल की प्लानिंग कर रहे हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि करिश्मा और करीना फिल्म ‘जुबैदा’ के सीक्वल, ‘रुतबा’ में नजर आएंगी। खालिद ने ‘जुबैदा’ के सीक्वल रुतबा का जिक्र किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि ‘जुबैदा’ का सीक्वल अभी बनने की प्रक्रिया में है। इसके साथ वह एक उपन्यास ‘इम्परफेक्ट प्रिंस’ भी लिख रहे हैं जो कि ‘जुबैदा’ के सीक्वल का इंट्रोडक्शन होगा।
खालिद ने कहा, “करीना और करिश्मा को ‘रुतबा’ में देखना मेरी कल्पना होगी। इस कहानी के निर्देशन के लिए मैं एक ऐसा डायरेक्टर चाहूंगा, जिससे मेरी भावनाएं मिलती जुलती हो। फिल्म ‘जुबैदा’ के डायरेक्टर श्याम बेनेगल की तारीफ करते हुए खालिद ने कहा, “संस्कृति और परिवेश को समझने वाले कम ही लोग बचे हैं जो श्याम बेनेगल जैसे हों। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि करीना और करिश्मा इस फिल्म को करने के लिए मान गईं तो यह फिल्म जरूर चलेगी।”
