Actress Shweta Tripathi will be seen in a short film tentatively titled ‘Cheater’.
The film is being directed by Nikhil Mehrotra, who has been credited as the writer of ‘Dangal’ as well as ‘Chhichhore’.
‘Cheater’, which is set in Patna, will tell the story of Shruti who is about to getting married. But she is faced with an unusual problem — her bed-wetting issue gets triggered again two days before her wedding. She wants to bring it up to her in-laws to be. Her conscience, however, doesn’t stand a chance in front of pressures from her family.

अभिनेत्री श्वेता त्रिपाठी जल्द ही लघु फिल्म ‘चीटर’ में नजर आएंगी। फिल्म का निर्देशन निखिल मल्होत्रा करने वाले हैं, जिन्होंने ‘दंगल’ और ‘छिछोरे’ का लेखन किया है।
‘चीटर’ में पटना की श्रुति की कहानी दिखाई गई है, जो शादी के लायक है। लेकिन उसे एक असामान्य समस्या है, वह है बिस्तर गीला करने की समस्या, जिसे वह अपनी शादी के दो दिन पहले अपने ससुराल वालों से बताना चाहती है। हालांकि परिवार के दबाव के कारण वह ससुराल वालों को कुछ नहीं बता पाती है।
कहानी बताने के दौरान ही मैं जानती थी कि मैं फिल्म कर रही हूं। फिल्म का विषय बहुत साधारण है और मुझे ऐसे किरदार निभाने पसंद हैं। कहानी सुनने के बाद ही मैंने निखिल से कहा कि मैं यह फिल्म करने जा रही हूं।”
