Rajkumar Rao and Fatima Sana Shaikh are in Bhopal to shoot for Anurag Basu’s untitled next. The Barfi director is helming a film on the lines of his 2007 film, Life In A Metro, which garnered much love. Both the actors, who are collaborating for the first time have started their 15 day schedule in Madhya Pradesh’s capital and they cannot contain their excitement. Rao and Shaikh took to Instagram to share glimpse of their stay.
Now, Rao has shared their first look in which both the actors are posing against the beautiful backdrop of lake and historical monument. While Fatima is clad in simple plain saree, Rao is seen in a look, which seems similar to Varun Dhawan’s character Mauji in Sui Dhaaga: Made In India. However, we know that makers would have tried something different and unique.
On a related note, Anurag Basu’s film has Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur and Abhishek Bachchan in pivotal roles. Taapsee Pannu was also to be part of the cast but she opted out as there was no confirmation on her dates. Basu wanted Taapsee to play opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.
Meanwhile, 2018 was a successful year for Rajkummar Rao as he got his first Rs 100 crore film, Stree. The movie co-starring Sharddha Kapoor was also critically acclaimed. On the other hand, Fatima’s Thugs of Hindostan tanked at the box office.
Basu, in an earlier interview, said that the release date of the film would only be decided after the film is wrapped up. He will also be directing Kangana Ranaut for the third time in Imali, after Gangster and Life in a… Metro.
Fatima Sana Shaikh was last seen in 2018’s action-adventure drama Thugs of Hindostan alongside Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. Rajkummar Rao’s Stree became one of the biggest sleeper-hits of 2018.
Rajkummar’s next film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, is all set to hit the theatres on February 1. The film revolves around a lesbian love story. Sonam Kapoor is playing the lead role in the film. The film also the first collaboration of father-daughter duo Sonam and Anil Kapoor on screen. The film is directed by Shelly Chopra and produced Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

अनुराग बसु की अगली मूवी में साथ आएंगे राजकुमार राव और दंगल गर्ल फातिम सना शेख. दोनों एक्टर्स भोपाल में शूटिंग कर रहे हैं. एक्टर ने ट्वीट पर फर्स्ट लुक शेयर किया है. फोटो में वे फातिमा दिख रहे हैं.
राजकुमार राव और दंगल गर्ल फातिम सना शेख डायरेक्टर अनुराग बसु की अगली मूवी में साथ आने वाले हैं. दोनों पहली बार जोड़ी के रूप में सामने आ रहे हैं. हालांकि फिल्म के टाइटल की अभी घोषणा नहीं हुई है. लेकिन कई रिपोर्ट्स में इसे ”लाइफ इन अ मेट्रो” का सीक्वल कहा जा रहा है. फिल्म की शूटिंग शुरू हो चुकी है, फिलहाल दोनों एक्टर्स भोपाल में शूट कर रहे हैं. एक्टर राजकुमार राव ने ट्वीट पर फर्स्ट लुक शेयर किया है. जिसमें वे फातिमा संग खड़े हैं.
फोटो में राजकुमार राव एक्टर मिथुन चक्रवर्ती के आइकॉनिक डांस स्टेप को री-क्रिएट करते दिख रहे हैं. दोनों ही 80-90 की हिंदी फिल्मों के लुक में नजर आते हैं. उनका बैक लुक दिख रहा है. फातिमा सना शेख मरून कलर की साड़ी में हैं और राजकुमार राव ग्रीन शर्ट और ब्लू पैंट में. दोनों नदी के किनारे खड़े हैं. मूवी में दोनों एक-दूसरे के साथ रोमांस करते नजर आएंगे.
फोटो शेयर करते हुए राजकुमार ने ट्वीट कर लिखा- “बहुत जल्दी सामने आयेंगे आप लोगों के. तब तक के लिए एक झलक.#AnuragBasu sir’s next with @fattysanashaikh”. बता दें, मूवी में अभिषेक बच्चन, आदित्य रॉय कपूर और पंकज त्रिपाठी भी अहम रोल में दिखेंगे. पिछले साल नवंबर में अनुराग बासु और अभिषेक बच्चन ने कोलकाता में कई सीन्स की शूटिंग की थी.
दंगल और ठग्स ऑफ हिंदोस्तान के बाद ये फातिमा सना शेख की तीसरी फिल्म होगी. वहीं बॉक्स ऑफिस पर पिछले साल राजकुमार राव की स्त्री ने ताबड़तोड़ कमाई की है. हॉरर कॉमेडी ने भारतीय बाजार में 100 करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार किया. क्रिटिक्स और दर्शकों ने फिल्म को काफी पसंद किया. स्त्री में राजकुमार राव के अपोजिट श्रद्धा कपूर थीं.
