Director Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta turned out to be a huge success for Rajnikant this year. The actor moved on to his next flick, Darbar, which is directed by AR Murugadoss. Superstar flagged off the film’s shooting in mid-April and the team of Darbar is currently on a schedule break.
It was earlier reported that Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar is the main antagonist in Darbar. However, going by the latest reports, actor Suniel Shetty, who played a meaty role in Shaam-Jyothika’s 12 B, has been roped in as the main antagonist in Rajnikant’s Darbar. Prateik Babbar will be seen as Suniel’s son in the movie.
Suniel Shetty will play the role of Anna while Rajnikant will be seen as an IPS officer. A source close to the film’s unit told Mumbai Mirror, “Anna, a corporate giant, will take on Thalaivar’s IPS officer. He joins the team during the second schedule which starts in the next few days in Mumbai and will be there all through.”
Suniel Shetty is trying to bulk up for his role in Darbar. “The antagonist’s track has an emotional back story also featuring Rajinikanth, which makes the revenge all the more exciting. There will be several confrontation scenes between the duo in the film which climaxes with a stylized.
Suniel Shetty hasn’t been churning out many Hindi movies in the past. However, he seems to have taken up a lot of projects in the South in recent times. While he recently completed his portions in Priyadarshan’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, he is said to be in talks for a Telugu film as well.
Produced by Lyca Productions, Darbar also has Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Prakash Raj and Dalip Tahil in pivotal roles. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

इस फिल्म में बॉलीवुड स्टार सुनील शेट्टी की भी एंट्री हो गयी है. बॉलीवुड फिल्मों में लीड रोल निभा चुके सुनील शेट्टी सुपरस्टार रजनीकांत की फिल्म दरबार में विलेन की भूमिका निभाते दिखेंगे।
दरबार में सुनील एक कॉर्पोरेट जॉइंट का किरदार निभाते दिखेंगे।जिसमे उनका सामना आईपीएस की भूमिका निभा रहे रजनीकांत से होगा। फिल्म दरबार की शूटिंग के लिए सुनील शेट्टी टीम को सेकंड शेडूल से ज्वाइन करेंगे। सुनील इस फिल्म में प्रतीक बब्बर के पिता का रोल निभायेंगे।
इस फिल्म की तैयारी के लिए सुनील जिम में जमकर पसीना बहा रहे है. इस फिल्म में लीड रोल में रजनीकांत और नयनतारा नज़र आएगी। फिल्म के क्लाइमेक्स को निर्माता बहुत बड़े स्तर पर शूट कर रहे है. इसमें दर्शको को रजनीकांत और सुनील शेट्टी की जबरदस्त फाइट देखने को मिलेगी।
