Amitabh Bachchan has been conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honor of Indian cinema, for his outstanding contribution to the film industry on Sunday, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi, President Ramnath Kovind gave this award, after which Amitabh supported after receiving the honor. Amitabh Bachchan started his career in the Hindi film world with seven Hindustani films in the year 1969. Born in 1942 at the home of Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, Bachchan started his career as an actor with seven Hindustani films. Amitabh played the role of gangster Vijay Deenanath Chauhan in Mukul S Anand’s film Agneepath in 1990, after his career in the eighties, for which he got the National Film Award for Best Actor for the first time by the government. Apart from this, Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015 have also been awarded for their contribution.

महानायक अमिताभ बच्चन को रविवार को फिल्म उद्योग में उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए भारतीय सिनेमा के सबसे बड़े सम्मान दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया गया है दिल्ली स्थित राष्ट्रपति भवन में राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने यह पुरस्कार दिया है इसके बाद अमिताभ ने सम्मान पाने के बाद समर्थन के लिए सभी को धन्यवाद कहा इस पर अमिताभ बच्चन का कहना है की इस पुरस्कार की शुरुआत लगभग 50 साल पहले हुई और मुझे इंडस्ट्री में काम करते हुए भी करीब इतना ही वक्त हो गया है दादा साहेब फाल्के पुरस्कार की बात की जाये तो इसके अंतर्गत दस लाख रुपये नकद, स्वर्ण कमल पदक और एक शॉल प्रदान की जाती है

अमिताभ ने अस्सी के दशक के दौरान उनके करियर में आये उतार चढाव के बाद 1990 में मुकुल एस आनंद की फिल्म अग्निपथ में गैंगस्टर विजय दीनानाथ चौहान की बेहतरीन भूमिका अदा की जिसके लिये उन्हें पहली बार सर्वश्रेष्ठ अभिनेता का राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार मिला सरकार ने अमिताभ बच्चन को इसके अलावा उनके योगदान के लिए 1984 में पद्म श्री, 2001 में पद्म भूषण और 2015 में पद्म विभूषण से भी सम्मानित किया है
