“Padman” first song “Aaj Se Teri” hit the internet today.
Last week, the trailer of R Balki’s Padman came and conquered the internet. The first song of the film, Aaj Se Teri, released today and it showcases a brand new side of our superhero Padman (Akshay Kumar) – the doting husband. The video also features Radhika Apte, who plays Akshay’s wife in the film.
Padman tells the story of real-life superhero Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man responsible for designing the world’s first low-cost machine for making sanitary napkins.
If you didn’t already know, Twinkle makes her foray into production with Padman. But if you thought Akshay was her first choice to play the lead role, you are mistaken. At the launch of the song, Twinkle revealed, “No, actually, Balki convinced me that Akshay should do this.”
Padman is set to hit the theatres on January 26, 2018. The film will clash with Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, at the box office.
