The first half of SKF’s Notebook is gorgeously shot, along with an average Pranutan and a good Zaheer. It is neraly written and doesn’t lose its pace.
Notebook opens with Kabir(Zaheer Iqbal) joining a remote Kashmir school as a teacher. Initailly unable to handle the children, he slowly gets along great with them. Meanwhile, in his drawer, he finds a notebook which belonged to Firadus (Pranutan Bahl) who used to teach here before him. Gradually, his search for Firdaus begins.
This is a romance where the lead pair doesn’t meet. They touch each other’s lives through words. Not poetry, mind you. This is not an occasion to do a Pakeezaah on us. Director Nitin Kakkar whose last film Mitron is a neglected gem, creats a stirring alchemy in the romance.
This is a love story that dares to be pure. The most memorable takeaway about Kashmir, however, is visual. The movie is bursting with some of the most eye-watering views of the Valley captured on film yet. Cinematographer Manoj Kumar Khatoi finds memorable frames in every location, be it the gentle lake on which the isolated school floats or the snow capped mountains that loom in the distance.
All said and done, Notebook is bring your heart to the theater flick. It has nothing extradoniary & that’s the speciality of the film. It is an abundance of cuteness bundled with a tour packages of unexplored Kashmir playing few beautiful songs in the background.

सलमान खान प्रोडक्शन की नितिन कक्क्ड़ निर्देशित ‘नोटबुक’ भी कश्मीरी बैकड्रॉप पर बुनी गयी है. नोटबुक में शिददतवाले किताबी प्यार के इर्द गिर्द कहानी सजाई गई है.डिजिटल वर्ल्ड में भले आपको यह प्यार नज़र न आये, मगर यह ‘आईडिया ऑफ़ लव’ जरूर लोगो को आकर्षित करेगा।
‘नोटबुक’ एक लव स्टोरी है, जो कश्मीर के इर्द गिर्द घूमती है.फिल्म की कहानी एक ऐसे स्कूल की है जो कश्मीर के ऐसे इलाके में है जहा ना ज्यादा इंसान नज़र आते है और ना ही मोबाइल नेटवर्क। फिल्म लव स्टोरी होने के साथ साथ कश्मीर की समस्याओ पर बात करती है, जैसे कश्मीर में पंडितो का हाल और कश्मीर में पेरेंट्स द्वारा बच्चो को गलत रह पर भेजना आदि.
फिल्म में फिरदौस (प्रनुतन बहल) नाम की एक टीचर होती है जो कश्मीर के उस बोल्ट स्कूल की टीचर होती है. उसकी शादी तय हो जाने पर उसे स्कूल छोड़कर जाना पड़ता है और वहा एक नया टीचर आता है कबीर (जहीर इक़बाल). कबीर को वहा फिरदौस की एक नोटबुक मिलती है जिसे पढ़कर उसे फिरदौस से प्यार हो जाता है.
निर्देशन की बात करे तो निर्देशक नितिन कक्क्ड़ ने मोहब्त की दास्तान के साथ साथ कश्मीर के मुद्दों को हल्के फुल्के ढंग को भी छुआ है. फिल्म का प्लाट दिलचस्प है, मगर स्क्रीनपल्य की कमी खलती है.अनदेखे प्यार का चित्रण बहुत ही रोमांटिक है, मगर इसे डेवलप करने में बहुत सारा वक्त ले लिया गया है, हालाँकि ह्यूमर को अलग अंदाज में पेश किया गया है.
नो मेकअप लुक में प्रनुतन स्वभाविक लगी है, जबकि जहीर अपना असर छोड़ने में कामयाब रहे है. फिल्म के सभी बल कलाकारों ने अपने अभिनय से कहानी को दमदार बनाया है.
विशाल मिश्रा के संगीत फिल्म में अच्छे है.
अगर लव स्टोरी को देखना पसंद करते है तो जरूर एक बार यह फिल्म जरूर देखे। हालाँकि फिल्म थोड़ी स्लो है तो सकता है हर किसी को यह फिल्म पसंद न आये. इंडिया टीवी ने इस फिल्म को 5 में से 2.5 स्टार दिए है.
