A haunted villa on the outskirts of London, a roaming evil spirit and a moonless night form the setting for a tale of horror in the teaser of Bhushan Patel’s Amavas. The film stars Sachiin Joshi, Vivan Bhatena, Nargis Fakhri and Navneet Kaur Dhillon. This film is directed by Bhushan Patel.As the world celebrates Halloween on Wednesday, October 31, the makers of ‘Amavas’ unveiled the first look of the upcoming venture.
The teaser does not reveal what brings the characters of Amavas to the haunted bungalow. But Fakhri’s character can be seen walking around the villa despite all the danger that lurks around her.
Patel’s filmography includes 1920 Evil Returns (2012), Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and Alone (2015). Amavas will be released on January 11, 2019.
Nargis Fakhri’s comeback to Bollywood with her first ever horror flick, ‘Amavas’, comes as a breath of fresh air for her fans who are waiting to watch her in a rare avatar, and here is the first picture from the sets of Amavas. It also features a couple standing ahead of the scene holding hands, however, they cannot be identified by the face.
The film, produced by Viiking Media and Entertainment in association with Simply West UK and Weeping Gravewas, was shot in London for a start-to-finish 40-day schedule.The poster of Amavas shows the gigantic blood moon, on which can be seen the silhouette of a spirit.
Nargis Fakhri, who made her Bollywood debut with 2011 blockbuster romantic drama Rockstar, was last seen in a lead role in the third installment of Sajid Khan’s Housefull. She made her Hollywood debut in 2015’s Spy, alongside Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Miranda Hart, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney, Peter Serafinowicz, Morena Baccarin and Jude Law.
Horror films have been a part of Bollywood since times immemorial. From 1949 hit film ‘Mahal’ to the latest film ‘Tumbbad’ that released last month, this underrated genre has come a long way. While Indian filmmakers gradually delve further into the horror genre, adding onto the spirit of Halloween, the poster of ‘Amavas’ is so good that it scares you. The teaser of the film shows the theme of the Amavasya Night will freak you out and gives nightmares.

आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी की डायरेक्टर भूषण पटेल की साल 2015 में फिल्म ‘अलोन’ के बाद ये उनकी अलगी फिल्म हैं। बता दें कि भूषण पटेल ने अब तक बॉलीवुड के बॉक्स ऑफिस पर चार तीन फिल्में दे चुके हैं। जिसने पर्दे पर काफी अच्छा परफोर्मेंस भी किया हैं। बता दें कि भूषण पटेल की भूतिया फिल्मों में गाने बहुत ही लाजवाब होते हैं। वहीं फिल्म की कहानी भी बहुत ही हार्ट टचिंग और सस्पेंसिंग होती हैं।
आपने अभी तक नरगिस फाखरी को बोल्ड और रोमांटिक फिल्मों ही देखा होगा, लेकिन अब वह हॉरर फिल्म में भी नज़र आने वाली हैं।इस फिल्म के टीज़र को देख यकीनन आपके रोंगटे खड़े हो जाएंगे। फिल्म के नाम से ही जाहिर है कि इसकी थीम अमावस्या की रात के इर्द-गिर्द ही होगी।
इस फिल्म की कहानी भी लंदन की एक खंडहरनुमा हवेली से शुरू होती है. एक लड़की है, जो किसी तरह इस हवेली में पहुंच गई है. जल्द ही अमावस्या की रात आने वाली है. वैसे तो बुराई पर अच्छाई की ही जीत होती है, लेकिन फिल्म के मुताबिक अमावस वाली रात को ये प्रोसेस उल्टा हो जाता है. मतलब सारी अच्छाई धरी-की-धरी रह जाती है और इस रात बुराई अच्छाई को ओवरटेक कर लेती है. इस ‘अमावस’ में ऐसा ही कुछ होने वाला है.
