Rani Mukerji left everyone impressed with her powerful act in Mardaani where she took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket. Now, the actress is all set to return in the sequel as Shivani Shivaji Roy but this time, as the Superintendent of Police who is locked in a vicious battle with a 21-year old merciless villian.
We now have ladi our hands upon a new picture of Rani donning the cop uniform in Mardaani 2 tha is surely going to add to the excitement already present for the project.
In the picture, Rani looks bold, defiant and fearless as the top cop who launches an investigation to go head on with this extremely clever and vicious villain.
Rani recently headed to Rajasthan for the second shooting schedule of the film.
Mardaani 2 will mark the directorial debut of Gopi Putharan, who wrote the original script, and will be produced by Aditya Chopra. YRF had announced in a statement that the film is expected to releas in the second half of 2019.

रानी मुखर्जी फ़िलहाल मर्दानी 2 की शूटिंग में व्यस्त है. रिपोर्ट्स थी कि पहले शेडूल की शूटिंग पूरी करने के बाद टीम दूसरे शेडूल के लिए व्यस्त है. इस बीच मर्दानी 2 से रानी मुखर्जी के कॉप लुक की पहली तस्वीर सामने आयी है.
पुलिस ऑफिसर की वर्दी में रानी मुखर्जी का लुक प्रभावित करने वाला है. गोपी पुतरन के निर्देशन में बनी फिल्म में रानी मुखर्जी एस पी शिवानी शिवजी रॉय का किरदार निभा रही है. पहले पार्ट मर्दानी में भी रानी मुखर्जी यही रोल निभाती नज़र आई थी. मर्दानी 2 आदित्य चोपड़ा प्रोडूस कर रहे है. मर्दानी 2 को 2019 में रिलीज़ करने की तैयारी है. मर्दानी, 2014 में रिलीज़ हुई थी. इसे काफी सराहा गया था.
दूसरे शेडूल की शूटिंग राजस्थान में होगी जो अगले हफ्ते शुरू होगी। राजस्थान के कोटा और जयपुर में फिल्म के हिस्से को शूट किया जायेगा। राजस्थान का शेडूल काफी अहम बताया जा रहा है. फिल्म के काफी हिस्से मुंबई में भी शूट किये जाएंगे।
मर्दानी फिल्म 2014 में रिलीज़ हुई तह. फिल्म की कहानी ईमानदार और प्रतिबद्ध पुलिस कॉप पर आधारित थी. इसमें रानी का किरदार बच्चो की तस्करी करने वाले गिरोह का पर्दाफाश करता है.
रानी मुखर्जी आखिरी बार हिचकी में नज़र आयी थी. हिचकी में रानी मुखर्जी ने एक ऐसे टीचर का किरदार निभाया था जो नर्वस सिस्टम डिसऑर्डर टोरेट्टे सिंड्रोम से ग्रसित है.फिल्म में रानी मुखर्जी के काम की काफी सराहना हुई थी.
