Karan Johar is all set to entice us with another espionage thriller based on RAW founder Rameshwar Nath Kao. The film is an adaptation of Nitin A Gokhale’s book titled R.N. Kao: Gentleman Spymaster.
The announcement shared by Karan reads, “Dharma Productions and Still and Still Media Collective present The untold story of the real life Indian spymaster – Rameshwar Nath Kao.
An adaptation of the book R.N. Kao: Gentleman Spymaster written by Nitin Gokhale, the film will tell the story of Kao who founded India’s external intelligence agency – R&AW and how he went on to become a success story in the world of international espionage.”
The Research and Analysis Wing (RAW or R&AW) is India’s foreign intelligence organization which was established in September 1968. Its founder, RN Kao was a private man whose story will be brought alive on the silver screens.

Johar’s last spy thriller, Raazi, turned out to be a huge success. The film released in 2018 with Alia Bhatt playing the lead.
2020 is a promising year for Johar as he has plenty of films in the pipeline. Takht, Dostana 2, Gunjan Saxena biopic and Brahmastra are few of his films that have been high on the buzzword ever since they were announced.
