हाल ही में रिलीज हुई वरुण धवन और आलिया भट्ट की पीरियड ड्रामा फिल्म कलंक दर्शको को पसंद नहीं आ पाई है और इस फिल्म को दर्शकों ने रिजेक्ट कर दिया है महावीर जयंती की छुट्टी के अवसर पर इस फिल्म को रिलीज किया गया था सितारों के नाम पर फिल्म ने पहले दिन खासी भीड़ खींची और पहले दिन ही ओपनिंग डे को 21 करोड़ से उप्पर का बॉक्स ऑफिस कलेक्शन किया पांच दिनों में यह फिल्म 66.03 करोड़ रुपये का ही कलेक्शन कर पाई है। फिल्म की लागत को देखते हुए ये कलेक्शन काफी कम है और अब साफ हो गया है कि फिल्म फ्लॉप हो गई है
बता दें कि फिल्म ‘कलंक को समीक्षकों से मिक्स रिव्यू मिले थे और फिल्म को हर किसी ने औसत बताया था इस तरह फिल्म के अच्छे रिव्यू नहीं मिलने के कारण फिल्म फ्लॉप मानी जा रही है इस फिल्म की कहानी की बात की जाये तो कहानी 1945 की है. फिल्म प्रेम कहानी पर आधारित है. ‘कलंक’ में माधुरी दीक्षित बहार बेगम, संजय दत्त बलराज चौधरी, आलिया भट्ट रूप, सोनाक्षी सिन्हा सत्य चौधरी, वरुण धवन जफर और आदित्य रॉय कपूर ने देव चौधरी का किरदार निभाया है
