Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh is fast approaching the Rs 200 crore mark. After 11 days of its theatrical run, Kabir Singh has collected Rs 190.64 crore. The film, a Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, earned Rs 9.07 crore on Monday.
This is impressive for any film to earn that much amount on its second Monday. While the film was tracking for a strong opening, hardly anybody expected it to rival some of the biggest Bollywood blockbusters.
Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Vanga is an official remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. It revolves around a hot-headed surgeon, who goes on a downward spiral after his lover leaves him. The original film starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
The film has been slammed for its blatant toxic masculinity and violent approach towards women. India Today critic Ananya Bhattacharya gave the film 1.5 out of 5 stars and wrote, “The women in Kabir Singh are beaten, kissed without consent, forced to take off their pants at knifepoint, slapped and treated like street dogs. Strike that. Kabir Singh’s dog gets a meatier role and better treatment than his women in this mess of a film.”

शाहिद कपूर की फिल्म ‘कबीर सिंह ‘ का दमदार प्रदर्शन रिलीज के दूसरे सोमवार यानी 1 जुलाई को भी जारी रहा. ‘कबीर सिंह’ शानदार कमाई से दूसरी फिल्मों को पछाड़ते हुए लगातार आगे बढ़ रही है. ‘कबीर सिंह (Kabir Singh)’ ने अपनी जबरदस्त कमाई से साल की दूसरी बड़ी फिल्मों का रिकॉर्ड भी तोड़ा है. ‘बॉक्स ऑफिस इंडिया’ की वेबसाइट के मुताबिक फिल्म ने बीते सोमवार करीब 17.75 करोड़ की कमाई की है. शाहिद कपूर की फिल्म कबीर सिंह इस कमाई के जरिए जल्द ही 200 करोड़ का आंकड़ा भी पार करने वाली है. हालांकि फिल्म ने रिलीज से लेकर अबतक कुल 195 करोड़ की कमाई कर ली है.
शाहिद कपूर और किआरा आडवाणी की फिल्म ‘कबीर सिंह (Kabir Singh)’ को समीक्षकों से ज्यादा अच्छे रिव्यू नहीं मिले थे. लेकिन फिल्म ने कमाई के जरिए साल की दूसरी बड़ी फिल्मों को बखूबी रूप से पीछे छोड़ा है. शाहिद कपूर की फिल्म ‘कबीर सिंह’ ने पहले दिन 20.21 करोड़ रुपये, दूसरे दिन 22 करोड़ रुपये, तीसरे दिन 27 करोड़ रुपये, चौथे दिन 17 करोड़ रुपये, पांचवें दिन 16 करोड़ रुपये, छठे दिन 16 करोड़ रुपये, सातवें दिन 15 करोड़ और आठवें दिन करीब 15 करोड़ नौवें दिन 16.50 और दसवें दिन 16.25 करोड़ रुपए कमाए.
शाहिद कपूर और कियारा आडवाणी की मूवी ‘कबीर सिंह’ साउथ की ब्लॉकबास्टर फिल्म ‘अर्जुन रेड्डी’ का हिंदी रीमेक है. हिंदी में बनाई गई इस फिल्म को भी संदीप रेड्डी वांगा ने ही निर्देशित किया है. शाहिद कपूर की फिल्म ‘कबीर सिंह’ में फैन्स उनकी परफॉर्मेंस की जमकर तारीफ कर रहे हैं तो वहीं कुछ लोग इसका विरोध भी कर रहे हैं. इस फिल्म में शाहिद ने सिरफिरे आशिक का किरदार निभाया है.
