सूत्रों के मुताबिक इस बार हेरा फेरी 3 में टाइम लीप होगा जिसमें तीनों एक्टर्स अपने वर्तमान उम्र से नजदीक उम्र का किरदार निभाते नजर आएंगे. इसमें अक्षय कुमार राजू के, परेश रावल बाबूराव के और सुनील शेट्टी श्याम के बदले हुए रूप में नजर आएंगे फिल्म हेरा फेरी का पहला पार्ट साल 2000 रिलीज किया गया था इस फिल्म का डायरेक्शन प्रियदर्शन ने किया था और दर्शको को ये फिल्म बहुत पसंद आई थी इसके बाद साल 2006 में इसका दूसरा पार्ट फिर हेरा फेरी रिलीज हुआ इस फिल्म का डायरेक्शन नीरज बोहरा ने किया था और इस फिल्म ने रिलीज होने पर 60 करोड़ से उप्पर का बॉक्स ऑफिस कलेक्शन किया और इस फिल्म ने दर्शकों को हंसा हंसा कर लोटपोट कर दिया था
फिल्म हेरा फेरी 3 का डायरेक्शन प्रियदर्शन कर रहे है प्रियदर्शन प्रियदर्शन का कहना है की वे अभी फिलहाल एक मलयालम फिल्म मरक्कर द लायन ऑफ अरेबियन सी में व्यस्त हैं इस फिल्म के पूरा होने पर वे सिर्फ हेरा फेरी पर ध्यान देंगे फिल्म का बेसिक आइडिया हेरा फेरी 2 के निर्देशक निर्माता व अभिनेता, दिवंगत नीरज ने लिखा था. प्रियदर्शन और फिल्म की पूरी टीम इसी आइडिया पर फिल्म की स्क्रीनप्ले को बेहतरीन बनाने की कोशिश करेगी अभी इस फिल्म के बारे में ज्यादा जानकारी हासिल नहीं हो पाई है और न ही रिलीज डेट का खुलासा हुआ है
