Actor Sanjay Dutt has shared his first social media post after he was diagnosed with cancer earlier this week. Sanjay wished his fans and followers on Independence Day.
The entire Bollywood news industry was shaken a few days ago with more devastating news in a year. It had been revealed that Sanjay Dutt is suffering from lung cancer for which the actor has also taken a sabbatical from work to undergo medical treatment. And now, the latest update on his health is sure to send more worrying signals to all friends, family, well-wishers and all his legion of fans out there.
The source told the portal, “Upon reaching the hospital, it was detected that air entry was not happening from his right lung. A CT scan further revealed that there was fluid accumulation in his right lung (pleural effusion) accompanied by two lesions, one on each lung. Sanjay was told that it could be a bacterial infection, tuberculosis, an adverse effect of strenuous exercise wherein he might have hurt himself, or cancer. The fluid was removed, the volume was as high as 1.5 litres. A 2-day hospitalisation followed.
Though no official comment has come in from Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where Sanjay Dutt has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a source within the ward has informed E Times that the actor was brought in on low oxygen saturation and that his latest report has confirmed that he’s been afflicted with “stage 4 lung cancer”.
Sanjay is currently awaiting the release of Sadak 2 and Bhuj: The Pride of India, which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. He will also star in the second instalment of KGF, Shamshera, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and Torbaaz. In 2019, the actor had featured in three movies — Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama Panipat, Karan Johar-produced Kalank and political drama Prassthanam.
