Salman Khan has supported actor Sooraj Pancholi’s career since the very beginning. He produced Sooraj’s debut film Hero (2015). Now, the Dabangg actor has taken to Twitter to announce Sooraj’s next film.
Salman shared the first look poster of Sooraj’s upcoming film Hawa Singh. The film is based on the life of Indian Heavyweight boxer Hawa Singh.
Hawa Singh won the Asian Games gold medal in 1966 and 1970. He was invincible back home as he won national championships in the heavyweight category for 11 consecutive times.
Sooraj was last seen on the big screen in Satellite Shankar. The film proved to be a dud at the box office and also failed to receive praises from the critics.
Years after news first broke that a biopic on the sports legend was in the works, Salman launched the first look poster that is every bit intriguing. The poster features Sooraj gulping down a large glass of milk while taking a break on a haystack in the boxing ring.
According to reports, the biopic on Captain Hawa Singh was in the pipeline since early 2017. It will be based on the six-foot-one boxer who joined the army in 1956 at 19, and four years later, bested reigning champion Mohabbat Singh to win the Western Command Boxing Championship.

बॉलीवुड फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में इनदिनों एक तरफ जहां दिलचस्प और रोचक कंटेंट पर काम करने के लिए जोर दिया जा रहा है वहीं दूसरी तरफ बायोपिक फिल्में बनाने का एक ट्रेंड सा चल रहा है। पिछले कुछ सालों से बॉलीवुड में धड़ल्ले से बायोपिक फिल्में बनाई जा रही हैं। साल 2019 में तो करीब आधे दर्जन से ज्यादा बायोपिक फिल्में बनाई गईं।
अब साल 2020 में भी कई सारी बायोपिक फिल्में आने वाली हैं। इन बायोपिक फिल्मों में गुंजन शर्मा बायोपिक, थलाइवी, सरदार उधम सिंह, पृथ्वीराज फिल्मों के बाद आज बॉलीवुड के दबंग सलमान खान ने ट्वीट करते हुए एक और अपकमिंग बायोपिक फिल्म का ऐलान किया है।
सलमान ने जिस बायोपिक फिल्म का ऐलान किया है वह हरियाणा के फेम हेवीवेट बॉक्सर हवा सिंह के जीवन पर आधारित फिल्म होगी। इस बायोपिक फिल्म का नाम है ‘हवा सिंह’। हालांकि सलमान खान इस फिल्म में काम नहीं करने वाले हैं। इस फिल्म में सलमान खान के चेले सूरज पंचोली नजर आएंगे।
सूरज पंचोली मुख्य किरदार निभा रहे हैं। इस फिल्म को प्रकाश नाम्बियार डायरेक्ट कर रहे हैं। सलमान खान ने इस फिल्म का पहला पोस्टर शेयर करते हुए इसका खुलासा किया है। फिल्म के पहले पोस्टर में सूरज गटागट दूध का एक गिलास पीते दिख रहे हैं।
हवा सिंह हरियाणा के हैवी वेट बॉक्सर रह चुके हैं और इनके नाम लगातार 11 बार हैवी वेट कैटिगरी में नेशनल चैंपियन बनने का रिकॉर्ड दर्ज है। अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उन्होंने एशियन गेम्स में दो बार लगातार गोल्ड मेडल जीता था, जिसकी बराबरी 2008 तक कोई बॉक्सर नहीं कर पाया था। उन्हें 1966 में अर्जुन अवॉर्ड से भी नवाजा गया था। हवा सिंह जी को उनके इस काम के लिए 1999 में द्रोणाचार्य अवॉर्ड देने की घोषणा की गई थी। लेकिन 14 अगस्त 2000 को इस महान खिलाड़ी का निधन हो गया।
