Kajol has announced the release date of the teaser of Devi, and has shared a poster for the upcoming short film. The teaser will be out on Monday (February 24).
Sharing the poster of Devi on Instagram, Kajol wrote, “A tale of nine women navigating through an unusual sisterhood thrust upon them by circumstance. The teaser of our powerful short film drops on 24th February 2020!”
The poster features Kajol along with the all-woman ensemble cast – Neha Dhupia, Shruti Haasan, Neena Kulkarni, Mukta Barve, Sandhya Mhatre, Rama Joshi, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashaswini Dayama. Devi is directed by Priyanka Banerjee and produced by Electric Apples Entertainment for Large Short Films.
Last month, the first look of Devi was shared on Instagram by Shruti.
Kajol was last seen in Om Raut’s historical drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, opposite her husband Ajay Devgn. She played Savitribai Malusare in the film, which featured Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Udaybhan Rathod.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which opened to positive reviews, also emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year so far with a total earning of more than Rs 250 crore at the box office in India.

बॉलीवुड एक्ट्रेस काजोल की अपकमिंग शॉर्ट फिल्म ‘देवी’ का नया पोस्टर रिलीज हो गया है। इस फिल्म को लेकर काजोल के पति एक्टर अजय देवगन काफी खुश नजर आ रहे हैं। वहीं उन्होंने काजोल की फिल्म ‘देवी’ का पोस्टर सोशल मीडिया पर शेयर करते हुए अपनी खुशी जाहिर की है। इस पोस्टर में काजोल के साथ 8 अभिनेत्रियां सशक्त किरदारों में नजर आ रही हैं। इनदिनों काजोल ‘देवी’ की शूटिंग में बिजी हैं। सामने आए पोस्टर से साफ पता चल रहा है कि ये फिल्म पूरी तरह से महिलाओं पर आधारित है। ’देवी’ का पोस्टर शेयर करने के साथ ही अजय ने बेहद ही खास कैप्शन लिखा है।
अजय देवगन ने ‘देवी’ का पोस्टर अपने इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट पर शेयर किया है। इसे शेयर करने के साथ ही अजय लिखते हैं, ‘महिला सशक्तिकरण मेरे लिए मात्र एक स्टेटमेंट नहीं है, यह जिंदगी जीने का एक तरीका है। मुझे काजोल पर गर्व है कि वह ‘देवी’ जैसी फिल्म कर रही हैं। यह एक सेंसिटिव फिल्म है जो सही दिशा की ओर आपको लेकर जाएगी।’
फिल्म में 9 अभिनेत्रियां सशक्त किरदारों में नजर आएंगी जिनमें काजोल, श्रुति हासन, नेहा धूपिया, नीना कुलकर्णी, मुक्ता भरवे, संध्या म्हात्रे, शिवानी रघुवंशी और यशस्विनी दायमा के नाम शामिल हैं। काजोल की यह पहली शॉर्ट फिल्म है। इस पॉवरफुल शॉर्ट फिल्म का टीजर 24 फरवरी को रिलीज होगा। वहीं फिल्म के मेकर्स ने पोस्टर जारी करते हुए लिखा, ‘देवी’ नौ उत्पीड़ित महिलाओं की कहानी है, जो समाज के अलग-अलग क्षेत्रों से हैं, एक छोटे से कमरे में रह रही हैं। उन्हें अपनी कहानियों को साझा करने में दुविधा का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। ‘
काजोल, इससे पहले पति अजय देवगन के साथ फिल्म ‘तानाजी- द अनसंग वॉरियर’ में नजर आई थीं। इस फिल्म ने बॉक्स ऑफिस पर 200 करोड़ से भी अधिक की कमाई की थी।
