Makers of Devi released the first look of the all-women short-film on Thursday. The movie has an ensemble star cast featuring Kajol, Shruti Hassan, Neha Dhupia, Neena Kulkarni, Mukta Barve, Sandhya Mhatre, Rama Joshi, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashaswini Dayama.
Devi is Kajol and Shruti’s first short film ever and the movie was shot in just two days.
Shruti Hassan also shared her views on choosing to work for the short film.
Devi is the story of nine oppressed women, from different strata of society, living a small room, faced with the dilemma of sharing their space and stories in a country all too used to tragedy and pain.
Produced by Niranjan lyengar and Ryan Stephen’s Electric Apples Entertainment, the short film has been written and directed by debutant Priyanka Banerjee for Large Short Films.

काजोल, ‘तानाजीः द अनसंग वॉरियर’ के बाद एक शॉर्ट फिल्म में नजर आने वाली हैं। इसका नाम ‘देवी’ है। काजोल की शॉर्ट फिल्म ‘देवी’ से फर्स्ट लुक रिलीज किया जा चुका है जिसमें नेहा धूपिया, श्रुति हासन, नीना कुलकर्नी, सांध्या मात्रे, रामा जोशी और शिवांगी रघुवंशी समते कई बड़े सितारे नजर आ रहे हैं।
फिल्म की अगर बात करें तो ये 9 महिलाओं की कहानी है जो मिलकर एक छोटे-से कमरे में रहती हैं। ये सभी अपनी जिंदगी में कोई न कोई दुख झेल रही होती हैं। और उन्हें ऐसे में अपने स्पेस को शेयर करना पड़ता है और अपनी कहानी को ऐसे देश के सामने रखना है जो दर्द और ट्रेजेडी को साधारण बात समझने लगा है।
इस शार्ट फिल्म के पोस्टर में आप सभी किरदारों को एक साथ देख सकते हैं। कुछ के चेहरे पर परेशानी दिखाई दे रही है तो कुछ के चेहरे पर गुस्सा।
ये शॉर्ट फिल्म केवल दो दिनों में शूट हुई है। फिल्म को लिखा और निर्देशित प्रियंका बनर्जी ने किया है.
