Hrithik Roshan will be romancing Deepika Padukone in Farah Khan’s next, which is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 film Satte Pe Satta. According to an entertainment website, Deepika Padukone has been locked to play the female lead opposite Hrithik Roshan in the film which is about seven brothers.
A source close to the development told the website, “Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the movie because not only do they love her but she fits the role to the T. When DP [Deepika Padukone] debuted, everyone felt she had an uncanny resemblance to Hema ji in terms of her beauty as well. When Farah narrated the story to DP, she loved it and instantly gave her nod.”
Deepika will be teaming up with Hrithik for the first time. Earlier, there were rumours that the two actors will be seen sharing screen space but nothing materialised. A Kabir Khan film starring Hrithik and Deepika was also on charts but couldn’t see the light of day.
Farah Khan is collaborating with Rohit Shetty for the first time for Satte Pe Satta remake. While Farah will be directing the remake, Rohit is producing it. In February, the director-producer duo took to Twitter to announce the collaboration.
