The much-awaited trailer of Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak is out now and it will definitely give you goosebumps. Deepika Padukone plays the role of an acid attack survivor in the film, which “makes an attempt to understand the on-ground consequences of surviving an acid attack in India.” The trailer starts with a shot of protest going on Delhi roads, followed by a reporter asking Vikrant Massey about Malti’s acid attack case. The next scene shows Malti (played by Deepika Padukone) falling on the ground after being attacked in broad daylight. The trailer follows her journey from a girl next door to a feisty acid-attack survivor and shows how she won her battle against the heinous crime.
“Malti (Deepika Padukone) was attacked with acid on a street in New Delhi, in 2005. Through her story, the film makes an attempt to understand the on-ground consequences of surviving an acid attack in India, the medico-legal-social state of affairs that transpires after the acid has been hurled.”
Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak will showcase the story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked in 2005 by a 32-year-old man after she rejected his advances. Other than Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey, the film will also star Rohit Sukhwani. Co-produced by Deepika Padukone and Fox Star Studios, Chhapaak is slated to open in theatres on January 10 next year. The film will mark Deepika’s first project as a producer.

दीपिका पादुकोण स्टारर फिल्म ‘छपाक’ का ट्रेलर रिलीज़ हो चुका है, जिसमें ऐक्ट्रेस काफी प्रॉमिसिंग नजर आ रही हैं। दीपिका अपने इस स्क्रीन अपीयरेंस से दर्शकों का दिल जीतने के लिए बिल्कुल तैयार नजर आ रही हैं।
यह फिल्म एसिड अटैक सर्वाइवर लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल की कहानी है, जिसके रोल में नजर आ रही हैं दीपिका। ट्रेलर देखकर साफ लग रहा है कि यह फिल्म दीपिका की शानदार ऐक्ट में से एक साबित होनेवाली है। ट्रेलर की शुरुआत होती है निर्भया केस की भारी भीड़ के आक्रोश से और फिर शुरू होती है एसिड अटैक सर्वाइवर मालती की कहानी। मालती के किरदार में दीपिका का यह लुक दर्शकों को अंदर तक झकझोरने का दम रखता है।
जब इस फिल्म से दीपिका ने अपना पहला लुक शेयर किया था, तभी से दर्शक इस फिल्म को लेकर उत्साहित हैं। अपने एक इंटरव्यू में दीपिका ने बताया था कि यह रोल उनके लिए कितना कठिन था। इसे अपना अब तक का सबसे कठिन रोल बताते हुए दीपिका ने कहा कि यह उनके लिए इमोशनली और कठिन किरदार था क्योंकि फिल्म सिर्फ सर्वाइवल से ज्यादा बात करती है। अपने कैरक्टर और लक्ष्मी को न्याय देने के लिए उन्हें काफी हार्ड वर्क करना पड़ा।
फिल्म में दीपिका के अलावा विक्रांत मेसी भी अहम रोल में नजर आ रहे हैं। ‘छपाक’ अगले साल 10 जनवरी को सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज होगी। इसके अलावा दीपिका डायरेक्टर कबीर खान की फिल्म ’83’ में भी दिखेंगी।
