Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor’s big Holi release, Baaghi 3, had a good start on Friday. The Ahmed Khan-directed film opened at Rs 17.50 crore at the box office.
Released in 5,500 screens worldwide (4,400 in India and 1,100 overseas), Baaghi 3 is touted to be the biggest release of Tiger Shroff’s career. However, trade analysts believed that the coronavirus scare could affect Baaghi 3’s box office collection.
The concern wasn’t unfounded. Latest James Bond movie, starring Daniel Craig, No Time To Die, postponed its release date by seven months, fearing less footfall and monetary loss. Closer home, IIFA has also been postponed indefinitely, citing coronavirus.
Baaghi 3 is the third film in the Baaghi franchise. The first one, that also starred Tiger and Shraddha in the lead, released in 2016. The second instalment brought Tiger and Disha Patani together in 2018. In the third part, Shraddha makes a comeback, while Disha is seen in a special number.
Baaghi 3 is also special because it brings real-life father-son, Jackie Shroff and Tiger together for the first time. Interestingly, Jackie is seen as Tiger’s father in the film as well. Baaghi 3 also stars Riteish Deshmukh as Tiger’s brother, and Ankita Lokhande.
Despite all the fanfare, the story of Baaghi 3 failed to impress the critics. IndiaToday.in’s Nairita Mukherjee gave Baaghi 3 1.5 stars out of 5, and said, “Tiger’s abs take the cake, hands down, shirts off. A close second is his squint which is stuck to his face like disbelief on ours ever since we stepped into the theatre. But Tiger Shroff per se isn’t half as bad as Shraddha Kapoor. There’s bad acting, and then there is over-acting. Shraddha’s was bad over-acting. Go figure.”

बॉलीवुड एक्टर टाइगर श्रॉफ, रितेश देशमुख और एक्ट्रेस श्रद्धा कपूर की फिल्म ‘बागी 3’ रिलीज हो गई है. एक्शन और स्टंट से भरपूर यह फिल्म ‘बागी’ फ्रेंचाइजी की तीसरी फिल्म है. ‘बागी 3’ को लेकर फैन्स में काफी एक्साइटमेंट थी और इतना ही एक्साइटमेंट बॉक्स ऑफिस पर भी देखने को मिला. टाइगर की फिल्म ने पहले दिन सिनेमाघरों में ताबड़तोड़ कमाई की है. बॉक्स ऑफिस इंडिया डॉट कॉम वेबसाइट के मुताबिक टाइगर की फिल्म ने पहले दिन 17 से 18 करोड़ रुपये की कमाई के साथ ओपनिंग की.
टाइगर श्रॉफ की फिेल्म ‘बागी 3’ की पहले दिन की कमाई को देखते हुए ये अंदाजा लगाया जा रहा है कि उनकी ये फिल्म 100 करोड़ रुपये की क्लब में शामिल हो सकती है. वहीं, फिल्म की कहानी की बात करें, तो ‘बागी 3’ की कहानी रॉनी यानी टाइगर श्रॉफ और उसके भाई विक्रम यानी रितेश देशमुख की है. रॉनी बेशक उम्र में छोटा है लेकिन वह विक्रम का रक्षक है. विक्रम को खरोंच भी आ जाए तो रॉनी सामने वाले के खून की नदियां बहा देता है. एक दिन जिंदगी में कुछ ऐसा तूफान आता है कि रॉनी को विक्रम को बचाने के लिए सीरिया जाना पड़ता है, और यहां उसका मुकाबला किसी एक दुश्मन नहीं बल्कि एक देश के साथ है.
इस तरह फिल्म ‘बागी 3’ के डायरेक्टर अहमद खान ने एक्शन का तूफान लाने की कोशिश की है. अहमद खान ने टाइगर की शानदार बॉडी, हैरतअंगेज स्टंट और बेजोड़ फाइटिंग का जबरदस्त कॉकटेल पेश किया है, लेकिन इस चक्कर में वह कहानी का नमक फिल्म में सही से डालने में चूक गए, और यही बात फिल्म के लिए सबसे बड़ी कमजोर बनकर सामने आती है. हालांकि एक्शन देखकर भी कई हॉलीवुड फिल्मों की यादें ताजा हो जाती है.
