Anushka Sharma is all set to try a hand at cricket as she has signed up to play former Indian women’s cricket team captain Jhulan Goswami in her biopic. On Saturday evening the actress shot for a teaser of the film at Eden Gardens and pictures of Anushka dressed in Indian cricket team’s uniform are going viral on the internet. According to a report on timesofindia.com, the film is tentatively titled ‘Chakdah Express’ and is directed by Prosit Roy, who had previously directed ‘Pari’ starring Anushka Sharma.
The actress was greeted by officials of the Cricket Association of Bengal, while Jhulan had also reached the ground for the shoot. A source quoted by the report revealed, “The sequence shows Jhulan (Anushka) enter the field with her team to play a match. Jhulan has a particular way of walking and Anushka practiced that along with her. She also sported a similar hairstyle. And the two of them have a similar physical structure too.” Anushka apparently took tips from Jhulan before this test shoot, whose footage will be used to create a teaser for the film.
Anushka was last seen in 2018 release ‘Zero’, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The actress is yet to make a formal announcement about this film.

ऐक्ट्रेस अनुष्का शर्मा की अगली फिल्म की हाल ही में घोषणा हुई थी। वह भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट टीम की पूर्व कप्तान झूलन गोस्वामी पर बायॉपिक में नजर आएंगी। वहीं, अब ने फिल्म की शूटिंग शुरू कर दी है। शनिवार की शाम को अनुष्का शर्मा ने कोलकाता के ईडन गार्डन में फिल्म के टीजर के लिए शॉट दिया। इस दौरान ऐक्ट्रेस ने भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम की ड्रेस पहनी हुई थी और उनके चलने का स्टाइल इंटरनेट पर वायरल हो रहा है।
अभी तक फिल्म का नाम ‘चकदाहा एक्सप्रेस’ रखा गया है। इस फिल्म को प्रोसित रॉय डायरेक्ट करेंगे। इससे पहले वह अनुष्का शर्मा की फिल्म परी का निर्देशन कर चुके हैं।
कोलकाता के ईडन गार्डन में शूटिंग करने पहुंची अनुष्का शर्मा को बंगाल क्रिकेट संघ के अधिकारियों ने बधाई दी। एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, अनुष्का (झूलन) में मैदान में अपनी टीम के साथ एक मैच खेलने के लिए आती हैं। इसके अलावा अनुष्का ने झूलन के लिए चलने के तरीके का अभ्यास किया और उनकी तरह बाल भी बनाए। इस दौरान अनुष्का और झूलन दोनों के तौर-तरीके फिजिकल स्ट्रक्चर समान था। ऐक्ट्रेस ने पूर्व महिला क्रिकेटर से टीजर शूट से पहले टिप्स लिए थे। इस शूट का इस्तेमाल फिल्म के टीजर के लिए किया जाएगा।
अनुष्का शर्मा के वर्कफ्रंट की बात करें तो वह आखिरी बार डायरेक्टर आनंद एल राय की फिल्म ‘जीरो’ में नजर आई थीं। दिसंबर 2018 में रिलीज हुई इस फिल्म में उनके साथ शाहरुख खान थे।
