कश्मीर की एक योद्धा रानी पर आधारित आशीष कौल की बेस्टसेलर किताब ‘दिद्दा-द वारियर क्वीन ऑफ कश्मीर’ का अनावरण मेगास्टार अमिताभ बच्चन ने किया है। इस बारे में कौल ने कहा, “अपने बेहद व्यस्त कार्यक्रम के बावजूद अमित जी द्वारा यह सम्मान पाना बेहद अभिभूत करने वाला था। दिद्दा- कश्मीर की योद्धा रानी भारत की साहसी बेटी थीं, जिन्होंने अविभाजित भारत की रक्षा 44 साल तक की थी।
इस किताब के लिए भारत के महान बेटे से समय मांगना मेरे लिए स्वाभाविक था। इतिहास उन महिलाओं के लिए कठोर रहा है, जो बहुत शक्तिशाली रही थीं। दिद्दा को भी इतिहास से मिटा दिया गया, क्योंकि पुरुष उनकी प्रतिभा को स्वीकार नहीं कर सकते थे। अमित जी का समर्थन कश्मीर की दिग्गज महिला की भूली बिसरी महिमा को सबके सामने लाने के मेरे प्रयास में मील का पत्थर साबित होगा।”
